Join Us

We started as a small group of cops, single Moms, and USAF Commandos with one goal in mind – to make people, and especially women, Safe-from-Violence™. We were crazy enough to think that we just might solve it.

Since then more and more people have joined; a Hollywood producer, an Army Ranger Captain, a world-class female martial arts expert, a social worker with 20 years of experience, and over 1,000 women who have shared their stories.

We have identified dozens of ways to change the game of violence-against-women and make them safer. And now we’re ready to test those ideas in ways big and small. Is this something you would like to be a part of? We need coders and cops, do-gooders and managers, administrators and operators.

Two of the major challenges in this movement include:

· Most people do not understand the problem and do not help, because they don’t know what to do or because they’re afraid.

We have plans. We’ll show you what to do. We know how to manage the risk.

· Universities, researchers, and even the FBI have failed to give us quality estimates of violence, which makes it difficult to communicate the problem and identify solutions.

We’ll use our best estimates now, but soon we need more research and we need help doing it.

If you see a way to contribute or just want to join up, please write us a letter and tell us about yourself and what you would like to do. Include supporting information such as a bio, resume, references, etc. You can get ideas from our Safety Initiatives and Safety Operations pages. Chances are if you want to help, there is a way to do it. And if you’re not ready to jump in now, please join our “Strider Reserves”, so we can contact you when we need help for a specific Safety Operation.

1.9M women will be raped this year; 687,000 college women will be attacked; 101,000 women and children will be taken by sex traffickers(1). Serial Rapists, Sex Traffickers, and a variety of predators are waging nothing short of a war on women and kids.

While there are hundreds of organizations trying to do something about this, none of them has identified a scalable solution that can stop or reduce the violence by 90%. That’s our goal.

We need people for the following roles:

HRM Manager

Social Media Manager

  • Social Media Strategist

  • Finance Manager

  • Fundraiser

  • Board Members (gatekeepers, fundraisers, experts please apply)

    • Executive Management (especially someone with police or military background and a competitive MBA)

    • General Assistants

    • Instructors

    • Academy GM (especially someone with teaching experience, administrative experience, 911 experience, business experience and/or an MBA)

    • Anyone who can start contributing immediately and who has a history of integrity, competence, goodwill towards others, and results. We are a performance organization that seeks measurable, definable results.

Everyone deserves to be Safe™. Let’s make it happen.

(1) “1.9M” is based on a survey by Strider Lab™ 2010 which estimated 1.85M rapes in the USA per year and the 2011 CDC study Prevalence and Characteristics of Sexual Violence, Stalking, and Intimate Partner Violence Victimization - National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey which estimated 1.9M rapes per year in the USA.

“600,000” is based on the Campus Rape Predictor™ as well as the commonly accepted number of “one out of four college women will be raped” when considering a total female enrollment population of 11,000,000 in the USA. By “attacked”, we mean the target of an attempted or successful rape.

“100,000” is our best guess considering the estimated number of prostitutes and missing persons in the USA, applying a “1/10” as the very conservative number of those who have been trafficked and assuming an average 10-year “career” for the former, with a “1/8” as the likely number of sex-trafficked victims for the latter group. However, much more important than this number is the following question, “why isn’t there a reliable estimate?”

  • “If all of our work, the many thousands of hours of research, the risky interviews with criminals, the heart-breaking stories we heard from over 1,000 women, the recruiting of over 1200 volunteers….if after all of this we keep only one woman safe-from-violence, it was worth it.”
