Wish #2.

Wish #2:

An online academy where women can learn, discuss, and share.

Concept: An online school where women can learn the Close Call Method in discussion groups, since many people prefer to learn by talking it through. Each class would focus on one actual case of a woman who got into a dangerous situation based on 27 Close Calls.

The Dream: Provide an active and fun learning environment, live or in-person, as well as an instructor and ambassador course for women who want to share Close Calls with others.

What’s needed: $50,000, instructors willing to complete 40 hours of training and 100 cases, volunteers, an academy coordinator, an academy manager, and an academy director (former law enforcement only)

Status: In-Progress. Due to demand, we decided to launch without sufficient funding, so we are bootstrapping, but funding would help us reach a lot more people faster as well as support our startup team better. Check us out at www.closecallacademy.org

Dates of Operation: Planning to launch in Q2 of 2017 (beta launched now)

Partner(s): Strider SFV Lab, Litmos (university software)
